Although I intend to do a full wrap up of the event experience as a judge, a spectator and a athlete that understands what each competitor has been through up to this point. I just wanted to share a brief sequence of photos that capture the actual competition quite well thus far. Tonight is a huge night where both the men and women will put it all on the line to make it to the finals. I think this round is more exciting than any other. And if the men’s quarterfinals were any indication of what is to come, then I think we will see some pretty spectacular kayaking this evening.
Below is a sequence of shots of Tomasz Czaplicki, a virtual unknown in this Worlds who cam out and absolutely blew much of the competition away, which forced favorites including former World Champion James Bebbington to the sidelines for tonights semi-finals. Anything is possible, and this Worlds is proof enough.
